Not of this Time

These photos represent a simplicity. Within this simplicity, I understand why we don’t live in those times anymore. Why a longing for Americana, the way it’s been traditionally and historically defined, leaves entire communities out of the narrative. 

I wonder if there is a way to accurately re-represent the past today?
